Rising from San Miguel's 6,300 ft to 7,000 ft, we'll pace ourselves mindfully, pausing to absorb our guide's insights into this sacred place's history and mystery. Once at the plateau, the terrain becomes flat and easy to explore.
The main pyramid's ascent is optional, equally powerful to remain below in meditation as the ancient energies speak to your awakening heart. Here, surrounded by sacred geometry and celestial alignments, you'll feel the profound truth: As Within, So Without – As Above, So Below.

Surrounded by gorges and perched on a high plateau, this ancient site was settled around 540 A.D. in a lush, cooler climate. Known as the Reloj Cósmico (Cosmic Clock) and the House of the Thirteen Heavens, the complex is believed to have been aligned with lunar cycles and celestial movements, suggesting a possible matriarchal society. Here, priest-astronomers studied the heavens and honored their gods and ancestors, seeing the interaction of heavenly bodies and landforms as the divine at work. The pyramid itself remained hidden for centuries, rediscovered only in 1985, and opened to the public in 2011.

Mariachis singing, playing instruments and onlookers were dancing 🕺.💃 I enjoyed visiting the boutiques, specialty stores, coffee shops, pastry shops, and particularly enjoyed the warmth I experienced mingling with the locals. Vera Lopez, founder of Spirits of the Earth, is an international teacher, priestess, coach, medium, and spiritual counselor devoted to guiding seekers into the mysteries of the ancient world and the depths of their own hearts.
Trained for 14 years under Brazilian master Luiz Gasparetto, Vera was later personally mentored by Debbie Ford, becoming a certified Integrative Coach with the Ford Institute and serving as one of Debbie Ford’s coaches in Shadow Work. She also worked for 10 years alongside Drunvalo Melchizedek in Awakening the Illuminated Heart trainings. For over 36 years, Vera has led transformational pilgrimages across Peru, Brazil, England, France, Spain, Egypt, and Mexico, channeling timeless wisdom from sacred lands into practical, heart-centered transformation.
