AUGUST 5 to 11, INCA TRAIL WITH MISTI HILL


AUGUST 5th, Day 1: Sacred Valley – Piskacucho – Km 82 – Wayllabamba.
At the start of our classic 4-Day Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu, we will leave our hotel in Urubamba early in the morning and head to the town of Piskacuchu (Km 82), the official starting point of the Inca Trail. After passing the checkpoint and crossing the Urubamba River, we will begin our trek.

As we hike, we will pass through Quechua hamlets and meet indigenous people from the region, offering a glimpse into the local culture and traditions. Our first stop is Miskay, where we'll drop our bags and enjoy a leisurely lunch, with the option for a siesta to recharge.

Refreshed and ready, we continue our journey to the first major archaeological site of Llactapata (also known as Patallacta). This site, rich in history, provides a captivating introduction to the Inca civilization. We will take time to explore and capture its beauty in photos before resuming our trek.

We will continue walking for approximately two more hours to reach Wayllabamba, our first camping spot, situated at an altitude of 9,514 feet (2,900 meters). Here, we will set up camp and rest for the night, preparing ourselves for the adventures that lie ahead.

AUGUST 6th, Day 2: Wayllabamba – Ayapata – Warmiwañusca – Pacaymayo.
We will begin our second day early in the morning, taking advantage of the fresh climate and the shade provided by the mountains. This will make our ascent to Warmiwañusca, also known as Dead Woman’s Pass, more manageable. Standing at an altitude of 4,200 meters, this is the highest point we will reach during our trek.

The climb to Dead Woman’s Pass is considered the most challenging part of the trek, but the reward is spectacular. As we make our way up, we'll witness the diverse ecological zones and microclimates that characterize this region of the Inca Trail. The panoramic views from the top include snow-capped mountains, Andean alpines, and jagged peaks, offering a breathtaking payoff for our efforts.

After reaching the summit and taking time to rest and soak in the scenery, we will begin our descent to Pacaymayo Campground, situated at 3,600 meters (11,800 feet). Upon arrival, we will enjoy a well-deserved lunch. The afternoon will be free for relaxation, allowing us to recover and recharge for the next day's adventures.

  • Hiking Time: 7 – 8 hours.
  • Lowest Elevation: 3,031 m / 9,944 ft.
  • Highest Elevation: 4,217 m / 13,827 ft.
  • Difficulty: Challenging.
  • Highlights: Dead Woman’s Pass (Warmiwañusqa), Salkantay Glacier, Pacaymayo Valley, and amazing views of the Mountains.
  • Weather: Cool and Windy (especially at the top of Dead Woman’s Pass).

AUGUST 7th, Day 3: ​Pacaymayo – Chaquicocha – Inti Pata – Wiñaywayna 
After exploring Runcuracay, we will continue our ascent for about an hour until we reach El Paso de Runcuracay, the second highest point on our trek at 3,850 meters. From here, we follow the same stone path that ancient Incas once walked, leading us to the impressive ruins of Sayacmarca. Here, we'll take a break to rest and delve into the history and significance of this unique site.

Our trail then takes us through a carved-out tunnel and past foundations of the path that were laid ten meters down from the edge of the mountain. We will arrive at Phuyupatamarca for a delicious lunch, re-energizing us for the next leg of our journey.

Post-lunch, we descend a zig-zagging forested path that brings us to the ruins of Intipata before reaching our campsite at Wiñaywayna (2,560 m / 8,700 ft). After setting up camp, we will enjoy dinner together and participate in a farewell ceremony to express our gratitude to the incredible team that supported us along the way, including our Inca Trail porters and specialist cooks.

This day is a celebration of exploration, discovery, and appreciation for the wonders of the ancient Incan civilization and the natural beauty that surrounds us.

  • Hiking Time: 8 – 9 hours.
  • Lowest Elevation: 2,649 m / 8,6892 ft.
  • Highest Elevation: 3,952 m / 12,957 ft.
  • Difficulty: Difficult.
  • Highlights: Amazing Incan ruins and unparalleled views.
  • Weather: Cool and Potentially Wet (more likely during the Wet Season).

AUGUST 8th, Day 4: Wiñaywayna –  Machupicchu – Aguas Calientes 
Today, your dream of seeing Machu Picchu will soon come true! After an early breakfast, we will begin the final leg of the Inca Trail to the lost city of Machu Picchu. Our day starts with a check-in at the control center early in the morning, followed by a hike to Inti Punku, the Sun Gate. This gateway offers a breathtaking overlook of Machu Picchu in all its inspiring and marvelous glory.

As the sun rises higher in the sky, we will begin our descent towards Machu Picchu. Remember today is a powerful portal, 8.8 Lion's Gate. The Lion's Gate radiates with potent vibrations, inspiring you to delve deep within, to awaken dormant potentials, and to unfold your gifts like petals of a blooming lotus.

As we honor this celestial event, envision yourself on a journey of self-discovery, growth, and selfless giving. May the Lion's Gate illuminate your inner path as well as your path to Machu Picchu, guiding you to realize your true essence and purpose. Just as the Lion is revered as a symbol of strength and courage, allow its essence to infuse you with the audacity to step into your fullest potential.

Upon arrival at the Inca's Sacred University, we will register our entrance and embark on a private 2-hour guided tour of the holy city. During this exploration, you will learn about the historical, cultural, and spiritual significance of this ancient wonder.

After we complete as guided exploration, you will have extra time to explore the less-frequented sections of Machu Picchu at your own pace. This is a perfect opportunity to absorb the atmosphere and reflect on the journey that brought you here.

Following our extended exploration of Machu Picchu, we will take a bus down to the village of Aguas Calientes. Here, you can relax and enjoy a well-deserved meal, and also take some time to explore the charming town. This day marks the culmination of our incredible journey along the Inca Trail, with memories to last a lifetime.

​Tonight we suggest a well deserve hot spring meditation.

AUGUST 9th, Machu Picchu Sunrise - Cusco
​As the Sun rises through the holy mountains around Machu Picchu we will be in ceremony waiting to welcome Taita Inti (Father Sun) and its healing rays to light and ​​bless us and this new day.

​After ceremony, free time for meditation in Machu Picchu. Once you return to the village we board our train back to Ollantaytambo, then a bus to Cusco. Free night to arrange your belongs and resting.

AUGUST 10th, Cusco 
Nestled in the embrace of time, Cusco, the Navel of the Earth according to the Incas, awaits our exploration. This city, once a haven for ancient souls, still holds the whispers of its past in every stone. Cusco is more than bricks and mortar; it's a symphony of energies. The Incas were pioneers in understanding and harnessing the power of vibrations for evolution and metamorphosis. Each sacred temple was meticulously situated, its foundations rooted in points of energy convergence. Their arrangement mirrored the cosmic dance above, an intricate connection between the earthly and celestial realms.

As we wander these streets, we tread upon the legacy of a civilization that resonated in harmony with the universe. The city carries the heartbeat of the past, a gentle reminder that the bond between the heavens and Earth transcends time itself. In Cusco, we stand at the crossroads of ancient wisdom and modern existence, where the rhythms of stars and stones still guide the way.

Embracing the leisure of the morning, we set forth on a walking tour through the enchanting realms of this mystical city. As we step onto its storied streets, we embark on a journey that will unveil its most captivating corners.

Following lunch, a window of free time awaits, allowing you to embark on your personal exploration. Wander through the enchanting streets, peruse local shops, immerse yourself in art galleries, or simply find solace on a plaza bench, observing the world around you.

As you sit there, you can connect with the profound heartbeat of Mother Earth, resonating strongly from this sacred center. The Navel of the Earth carries an energy that unites past and present, inviting you to feel the pulse of ancient wisdom intertwined with modern life.

After our closing circle we are free to join an evening Goodbye Dinner, a moment of shared gratitude and reflection. Tomorrow, some will embark on their homeward journey, carrying newfound insights. Others will venture onward to the shores of Lake Titicaca, where the light of ancient wisdom awaits their exploration.

Following a nourishing breakfast, we gather our memories and embark on a transfer to the airport. As we check in for our flight back to Lima, a sense of completion gently settles.

OPTIONAL LAKE TITICACA

Lake Titicaca holds the sacred origins of the Inka civilization, where the Sun and the Moon bestowed the first Inka and Coya, birthing them from its mystical waters. This ancient sea on top of the world is where the Empire of the Sun was born, as they journeyed from here to establish their majestic realm in Cusco. Even the conquistadors recognized its significance, establishing a shrine to the Virgin as a symbol of rebirth.Our journey centers around this profound emergence, engaging in ceremonies and meditations amidst the transformative energies of these sacred sites. At Sillustani, the ancient towers stand as a resting place for kings, queens, and shamans, set amidst the waters of Lake Umayu, a river of consciousness. The Temple of Fertility beckons us to embrace new beginnings.
The floating reed islands of the Uru people, whose origins link to the Dog Star, Sirius, become a testament to our cosmic connection. And at Amaru Muru, the Andean Stargate, we step into our own transformative becoming.
Throughout, we are embraced by the timeless beauty of islands that have retained their purity since the days of the Inka. This journey is a voyage into the heart of our own emergence, as we honor the ancient spirits and connect with the cosmic forces that continue to guide us.
AUGUST 11, Cusco – Puno/Lake Titicaca

At the break of dawn, we set forth on a journey of enchantment, departing for Lake Titicaca aboard a comfortable coach. Through its panoramic windows, we embrace the splendor of the Andean Altiplano, where wild vicuñas and llamas roam freely. Along the way, we pause to explore Raqch’i, a sacred site housing the Temple of Wiracocha
​.
As the sun begins to dip, our voyage finds its haven by the tranquil shores of Lake Titicaca. The embrace of our lakeside retreat promises rest and rejuvenation as dreams take us into the night. This is the sacred night of a full moon called a High Moon, a rare lunar alignment that activates the earth energies and sacred sites as well as ourselves.

AUGUST 12, Lake Titicaca Urus Island/Taquile

Embarking on our journey across the "Sea at the Top of the World," our expedition commences with a visit to the floating reed islands of the Uru people. These unique islands, crafted from nature's own materials, offer a glimpse into a world defined by innovation and harmony with the environment.

Continuing our voyage, we arrive at the revered island of Taquile. Here, we engage in a sacred ceremony by the tranquil shores of Lake Titicaca. In this ceremony, we pay homage to the balance of the masculine and feminine energies, both within ourselves and throughout the universe. It's a profound and introspective experience that resonates with the essence of this mystical land.

AUGUST 13, Aramu Muru Doorway

Today marks our journey through the Dimensional Doorway guided by the wisdom of the sage Amaru. As we step into this gateway, we embrace the potent energies that have been revered by ancient civilizations as the Gate of the Gods. This transcendent experience holds the potential to connect us with profound insights and heightened awareness, inviting us to unlock the mysteries of existence and explore the realms beyond.

In the afternoon, we venture to the sacred site of Sillustani, often referred to as the portal through which our celestial kin, our Star brothers and sisters, would connect with our world. This remarkable location holds a profound significance as a landing place for their spaceships during their interactions with the Lake Titicaca portal. As we stand amidst the ancient ruins, we open ourselves to the mysteries of the cosmos and the enigmatic connection between Earth and the stars.

​AUGUST 14, Puno/Juliaca/Lima
— Lima/Home

As the sun rises, we bid farewell to the sacred lands of Lake Titicaca and embark on our journey back to Juliaca Airport. Our hearts filled with the wisdom and experiences of this transformative adventure, we carry the energy of the portals, the ancient knowledge, and the unity of the universe within us. Our flight back to Lima, and onwards to our respective international destinations, marks the end of this extraordinary journey, but the beginning of a new chapter inspired by the insights and connections we've gained.
AUGUST 15,  Lima/Home
Lima, the capital of Peru, is a sprawling metropolis that, like many other capitals around the world, offers a vibrant mix of modernity and history. Stopping here for a day allows us to gently transition back to 'reality' after experiencing so many profound breakthroughs in another dimension.
Depending on your flight back home, you may have time to explore this beautiful city where the Colonial and Modern blend together, giving Lima its unique personality.

Optional Tour OverviewVisit the top attractions of Lima on this guided tour of the city. Explore the highlights of the city including Huaca Pucllana, El Parque del Amor, San Martin Plaza, and more. Follow your local guide as you learn about the history and culture of the city.
