RETURN TO AVALON
A DIVINE FEMININE JOURNEY

May 13th to 22nd, 2019
lead by
Vera Lopez - Spirits of the Earth &
Sarah McLean, McLean Meditation Institute

WE ARE THIS ANCIENT PROPHECY OF THE RETURN OF THE SACRED FEMININE HEART
the return of the ancient Goddess ways

From the beginning of time, women have been healers, shamans, priestesses. They came together to heal, nurture, and to love.

In the ancient world, women did not share their inner world with their companions. They gathered in social circles, where they were safe to share their dreams, visions, experiences, desires, as well as their emotions. These social circles of sharing were the woman’s opportunity to express their soul and be nurtured.

Only the feminine understands the feminine. However in today’s world the sisterhood and union of the feminine have been compromise by competition between women.

Women are finding themselves unfulfilled, alone, frustrated, and disconnected. They are feeling something sacred is missing in their life.

Now we are being called to return to the ancient feminine ways of sharing and expressing from our soul.

Now we are being called to return the ancient feminine ways of sharing and expressing from our soul. Being part of a women's circle is a cornerstone to stepping back into the divine feminine power.

I invite you to join us for a sacred journey of sisters who gather from all across the globe.  Journey to a place of surrender where through love, and sharing, we will experience divine wisdom.

Spaces are limited, send us a
message with your letter of intention
and we will get back to you asap.

Bridgwater is a historic market town in Somerset, England and only 30 minutes away from Glastonbury, and it will be our home for the next 7 nights...

Day 3 - MAY 15th
Wednesday

Today we start our Time-Traveling in Avalon!
Picture
Our journey will take us to sacred sites and beyond... We open our journey at Bride's Mound which is a holy place, said to be where St. Brigid (Brigid - Goddess of Healing, Smithcraft, Poetry, Wells and Springs) who visited and spent some time there in an oratory dedicated to Mary Magdalene. There was an old chapel on the top of this small hill which said to contain possessions left by St. Brigit when she left for Ireland including a necklace, a bag for collecting herbs and her bell. There is a long history of connection between Glastonbury and Ireland beginning with the Goddess Brigit and continuing into Christian Times.

We will start our pilgrimage walking up to Weary Hill onto the top of swan’s head (One of the Power animal of Goddess) and visiting the Holy Thorn, a magic tree said to be planted there by Joseph of Arimathea where we can tie ribbons with our wishes.

We will carry on walking down the hill towards the Bride’s Mound. This is an old way to reach the mound where once upon a time, one would have get on a boat of reach Bride’s Mound. Bride’s Mound is a place of power and deep connection with Earth and it is in alignment with the Tor.  A small head of well dedicated to St.Brigit is nearby on the river Brue, a river also dedicated to Goddess. Here we will honour Great Mother, Mother Earth, Banbha – Goddess of Earth, connecting deep to ancestral lines.

We will connect to the trees, flowers, herbs and Symbol of Vesica Piscis Power and do a meditation at the head of the well to connect with the sacredness of the Divine Feminine in this time of Beltane, where the wheel of the year is at full Spring and Goddess is called Rhiannon, the Goddess of Love & Sacred Sexuality, wear something red, to connect with the red thread of our mother lines and to re-member who we are and that we are all connected, we will gather in circle and call in our mother lines. Its a good day to reflect on your mother, grandmother, great grandmother or any female figure that has a special meaning to you.

We then step into the next holy site in our pilgrimage, the  White Spring Well House.

Chalice Well
An afternoon take us to the Glastonbury Tor is shrouded in intriguing mystery. Legends concerning its history and sacred significance have circulated since the Middle Ages, many of which center around King Arthur. In modern times, it is said to be a major center of energy and ley-lines and the home of a goddess.

The Isle of Avalon, often identified with Glastonbury, derives its name from a Celtic legend of the demi-god Avalloc or Avallach, ruler of the underworld. In Celtic lore, Avalon was an isle of enchantment. It was considered the meeting place of the dead and the point where they passed to another level of existence. The Tor was believed to be the home of Gwyn ap Nudd, the Lord of the Underworld, and a place where the fairy folk lived.

One major mysterious aspect of Glastonbury Tor are the seven levels of terraces that encircle the hill. It is not certain that they were man-made or purposeful, but they have been dated by Philip Rahtz to Neolithic times. Many believe they are an ancient ritual labyrinth or maze that correspond to a magical diagram.

The earliest writtend legend of Glastonbury Tor is in a mid-13th-century story about St. Patrick (387-460). According to this account, Patrick became a leader of a group of hermits at Glastonbury after he returned from Ireland, and discovered an ancient ruined oratory after climbing through a dense wood. Some believe this oratory to be a chapel built by Joseph of Arimathea when he arrived at Glastonbury after the crucifixion of Christ.

Glastonbury Tor is also associated with the Holy Grail, the finding of which was the legendary quest of King Arthur and his knights. After the crucifixion of Jesus, local lore has it that Joseph of Arimathea (who according to the Bible donated his own tomb to Jesus) came to Britain, bearing the Holy Grail. This sacred chalice was the cup used by Christ at the Last Supper and later by Joseph to catch Christ's blood at the crucifixion.
When Joseph arrived at the Isle of Avalon (i.e. Glastonbury), he landed on Wearyall Hill, just below the Tor. He thrust his staff into the ground and rested. By morning, his staff had become a strange oriental thorn bush - the Glastonbury Thorn. For safe keeping, Joseph buried the Holy Grail just below the Tor at the entrance to the Underworld. Soon after, a spring, now known as Chalice Well, flowed forth and the water that emerged brought eternal youth to anyone who drank it.

In recent years, there have been reports of mysterious light phenomena at Glastonbury Tor. In 1981, people climbing the hill saw a strange writhing light arc from St. Michael's Tower to the ground near Chalice Well. The earth-mysteries researcher Paul Devereux also reported witnessing strange lights in 1991.
Glastonbury is said to be a major intersection of ley lines. Ley lines are hypothetical alignments that run through ancient sacred sites believed to have special energy and cosmic power.

Day 4 - MAY 16th
Thursday

Ninety miles west of London and twenty miles north of Stonehenge stands Avebury, the largest known stone ring in the world. Older than the more famous Stonehenge, and for many visitors far more spectacular, the multiple rings of Avebury are cloaked with mysteries which archaeologists have only begun to unravel.

Our pilgrimage to Avebury and the ritual landscape of giant stone circles and avenues will be guided by the leading authority on the geodetic system of earth eneries Maria Wheatley. Maria is a second-generation dowser, she was taught how to decode the land by her late father, Dennis Wheatley, who was considered to be one of the UKs top Master Dowsers. We will ritually enter the stones, and explore its powerful energy transmitions while attuning to the wisdom its hold.

We will cleanse our own body water via connecting with the sacred yin waters of Avebury, and make our own energetic water essence, something we can take home to carry on body water and aura cleansing.

Leys and yin and yang earth energies
We explore the stones' energies and the yin and yang earth energies that encoil a ley line called St Michael.   We will also explore the healing life enhancing earth energies of the west Kennet long barrow that predates Avebury stone circles by one thousand years.

SILBURY HILL

Only 1500 meters south of the main Avebury rings stands Silbury Hill, the largest, and perhaps the most enigmatic, of all megalithic constructions in Europe. Crisscrossing the surrounding countryside are numerous meandering lines of standing stones and mysterious underground chambers, many positioned according to astronomical alignments.

Picture
Among the ancient and sacred sites of England, West Kennet Long Barrow is still home to spirits and mystery, a portal into the underworld, the place of ancestral energies and the Crone Goddess.

Situated across the highway from Silbury Hill (the largest prehistoric mound in Europe) and a little over a mile from Avebury (the largest stone circle in the world--two of the most sacred sites in England), West Kennet Long Burrow pre-dates the creation of both Stonehenge and Avebury. A Neolithic site, West Kennet was probably a communal or clan project around 3250-3700 BCE. Three hundred-thirty feet long, this is the largest long barrow in England and Wales and was used not only as a burial shrine but also a community focal site for ritual gatherings. The layout of the shrine consists of a stone lined corridor with five chambers (two on each side with the fifth at the end of the corridor), in what J.D. Wakefield compared to a "pregnant squatting goddess". These Neolithic sites were constructed to symbolize the Earth Mother. The dead interred here so that they may be reborn again in another life. It is likely that West Kennet Long Barrow’s primary function was to "provide a womb from which the dead ancestors could be reborn".

Here, in one of the richest in sacred sites in England and in the lay line that stretch from St. Michael’s Mount on the westernmost coast, through Glastonbury, Avebury, Stonehenge, Royston Cave, Bury and Hopton on the opposite side of England, we will seat in meditation and sound healing work ... breathing in the process of death and rebirth of belief and experieces. Allowing the mystical process of life to move through us.

Free evening for journaling, integration and meditating
. Sweet Dreams!

Day 5 - MAY 17th
Friday

We will have the privilege to enter the ancient and sacred circle of Stonehenge in a private matter...

The prehistoric architects of ancient sites were acutely aware of the Earth's magnetic energies which they carefully integrated into the foundation plans of their monuments using a long-lost technology. At Stonehenge, for example, certain megaliths, such as the Altar Stone, were positioned above a geometric earth energy pattern, known as geospiral, to harness the earth force which perpetually charged the stone with magnetic energy. We can locate these enigmatic patterns in the ritual landscape and begin to sense their energetic power.

This will sure be the highlight of our journey.

Day 7 - MAY 19th
Sunday

Our final visit to Glastonbury will bring us to the evocative ruins of Glastonbury Abbey and he reputed grave of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere. In the Abbey, there is an orchard that has a deep connection to the Lady of Avalon, we will connect with the Lady of Avalon, asking Her to bring Her purple healing and supportive energies for this day as we continue to exploring the sacred Divine Feminine. We will have some time to spend connecting to the trees, herbs and flowers of the medieval herb garden and collecting some to create for your own Priestess/Shamanic Pouch. Vera will teach us how to make our own talisman of power and presence so it will be a part of your memory once you leave Avalon. Priestess Pouches has been worn by Priestesses and Shamans for thousand of years, they can hold magic objects, amulets, leaves, flowers, stones or any objects that connect the wearer to Nature and Her magic gifts. Pouch is worn around the neck in order to keep it close to wearer’s heart.

Monday

After our time immersed in the special land of Somerset we travel to to the kingdom of Cornwall. We arrive at Tintangel area around noon, the castle ruins which sit atop the cliffs hard the legendary birthplace of King Arthur. With its call to the noble, the romantic, the courageous and the spiritual seeker in each of us how can we fail to be drawn to this legend. By walking this land on our own Grail quest we find answers, ofter in themes unlikely of places.

Day 9 - MAY 21th
Tuesday

St Nectan’s Glen woodland Walk to the Waterfall & Hermitage through an ancient woodland with ivy clad trees and along the banks of the River Trevillet as it sparkles and gurgles busily on it’s journey to the sea. A place where animals and birds play amid a mysticism of fairies and spirits, serenaded by the wonderful sound of bird song.
Many myths and legends, from King Arthur and his knights to ghostly sightings, surround this place: but one undeniable fact is that it is a place of outstanding natural beauty.
St Nectan’s Waterfall is in St Nectan’s Glen, an area of woodland in Trethevy near Tintagel, north Cornwall, stretching for around one mile along both banks of the Trevillet River. In the Cornish language St Nectan’s Glen is Glynn Nathan, meaning deep wooded valley of Nathan. The sixth-century Saint Nectan is believed to have sited his hermitage above the waterfall. According to legend, Saint Nectan rang a silver bell in times of stormy weather to warn shipping of the perils of the rocks at the mouth of the Rocky Valley. ‘The sunset of life gave to the saint the spirit of prophecy, and he told his weeping followers that the light of their religion would grow dim in the land; but that a spark would for ever live amidst the ashes, and that in due time it would kindle into a flame, and burn more brightly than ever. His silver bell, he said, should never ring for others than the true believer. He would enclose it in the rock of the Kieve; but when again the true faith revived, it should be recovered, and rung, to cheer once more the land. One lovely summer evening, while the sun was slowly sinking towards the golden sea, St Nectan desired his attendants to carry him to the bank which overhung the “Kieve,” and requested them to take the bell from the tower and bring it to him. There he lay for some time in silent prayer, waiting as if for a sign, then slowly raising himself from the bed on which he had been placed, he grasped the silver bell. He rang it sharply and clearly three times, and then he dropped it into the transparent waters of the Kieve. He watched it disappear, and then he closed his eyes in death. On receiving the bell the waters were troubled, but they soon became clear as before, and the bell was nowhere to be seen.’ “The child is not yet born who shall recover this treasure.”
