Home - Lima, PERU

Picture
I invite you to consider arriving in Peru a few days before the official start of our journey. This will provide you with the opportunity to rest and explore Lima, the capital of Peru.

Lima is located on the arid Pacific coast of the country. While its colonial center is well-preserved, it's a bustling metropolis and one of South America’s largest cities. Lima is home to the Museo Larco, which houses a collection of pre-Columbian art, and the Museo de la Nación, which traces the history of Peru’s ancient civilizations. The Plaza de Armas and the 16th-century cathedral are at the heart of old Lima Centro.

If you decide to arrive in Lima before our official journey begins, you should plan to join the group in the morning of June 22nd to travel together to Cusco. Additionally, you may wish to arrive in Cusco a few days before June the 22nd for early exploration and to adapt to the elevation. This is entirely possible, and please keep in mind that anything you choose to do before June 22nd is optional and can be flexible. We will make every effort to assist you with all the necessary arrangements.

June 22: Lima – Cusco ...
Our Shamanic, Spiritual, Transformational Journey starts...
For those who arrived in Lima early to explore the city or for those who opted for an overnight flight to Lima, you can all meet this morning at the departure gate of Lima airport. From there, fly together to Cusco. If you have already arrived in Cusco before this day, everyone will gather in Cusco at our hotel for check in.

After a short 1-hour flight from Lima, we will warmly welcome you to Cusco—the Holy City and the historic capital of the Incan Empire. Cusco is situated at an impressive altitude of 3,400 meters (11,154 feet), so today is dedicated to acclimatization and allowing your body to adjust to the elevation.
Later in the day, we will convene to form our sacred circle and establish our intentions for this journey. Following this, we will enjoy a light dinner and then return to our accommodations for a well-deserved rest. Welcome to the enchanting land of Peru!
June 23: Cusco
Following a peaceful night's rest and savoring a delightful Peruvian breakfast, we have the privilege of welcoming our esteemed Paqo. A Paqo is a revered native of the highlands of Peru, specifically from the Q'ero community, and is considered one of the last descendants of the Incas. We are honored to have them join our group.
Picture
The Q'ero people have an extraordinary history that stretches back for centuries. Residing in villages situated at dizzying elevations of 18,000 feet, they were once considered to have vanished from the world. However, a remarkable event occurred in the 1950s when they descended from their lofty mountain homes to share their profound wisdom and prophecies with people from all walks of life. They are often referred to as "weavers of the Light" due to their unique practice of crafting manta cloths infused with fifth-dimensional symbols. These symbols radiate with light and living energy. It's worth noting that the symbols woven into their fabrics are the same as those found in the ancient Inca civilization.

The Q'ero people have a language that holds immense historical significance, with an estimated age of over 20,000 years. Interestingly, their language is believed to have influenced and seeded ancient tongues such as Hebrew and Sanskrit, which form the basis of many of our sacred texts. They represent one of the rare civilizations on Earth that has successfully preserved its ancient teachings and codes without being significantly influenced or invaded by other cultures.
According to their oral traditions, which have been passed down through countless generations, the Q'ero are linked to the same lineage as other ancient cultures like the Mayans, Hopi, Navajo, and Tibetans. Their language and rituals bear many striking similarities to these civilizations, forging a connection that spans continents and millennia.
Our initiation will commence at Tipon, the Temple of Holy Waters, a sacred ceremonial site located near Cusco.

TIPON OPENING CEREMONY

In this ancient and sacred place, our dear friend and Paqo will guide us through the first Karpay, a transmission of energy known as Llankay Karpay.

A Karpay transmission is a profound ritual where a Paqo, an Incan Priest, acts as an intermediary between us and the Elemental Beings. Through this sacred ceremony, we are aided in our transformation from ordinary human beings to luminous beings. During this ceremony, an intentional Luminous seed is planted, which integrates itself into our very DNA. This seed, initially bestowed upon us by the Elemental Beings and nurtured by our intentions, will flourish within our energetic fields. It plays a pivotal role in expediting our transformation process. Those who receive these transmissions become initiated Paqos of the ancient lineage and are entrusted with the role of Earth ambassadors. This sacred exchange of energy is a profound and transformative experience.
The concept of Llankay, which can be loosely translated as "work" or "service," extends to all living creations and the universe, encompassing the cosmos, source, and the Creator. It represents a state of consciousness in which an individual's life purpose or path is dedicated to serving not only fellow human beings but also the cosmos. It emphasizes that everything we "do" is ultimately in service to the Divine.

Llankay underscores the understanding that we are all integral parts of a greater whole, with each part inherently interconnected with the others. Every thought, word, and action has a ripple effect, impacting everyone and everything in this shared human experience. It encourages us to live in alignment with our true selves, act with integrity, and do so fearlessly. Llankay enables the expression of our creativity through our work and symbolizes the power of the physical body, often referred to as our animal selves. Its energy is centered in the physical body, extending from below the ribcage to the groin, aligning with the first three chakras. Through Llankay, we come to realize that we are not isolated entities, but rather an interconnected web of existence. Its fundamental lesson is "We are all Connected."
Throughout this ceremony, our Paqo will guide us in expressing gratitude to the Spirits who have called us here through an ancient thanksgiving ritual known as Despacho.

The Despacho ceremony is an interactive and collective experience where all participants come together, embodying unity consciousness, to co-create a living mandala. In this sacred act, elements gathered from our local environment are harmoniously arranged to offer our prayers and intentions to the Spirit. These offerings are meticulously assembled in a way that energetically weaves together the three worlds of existence: Hanan Pacha, representing the upper world; Kay Pacha, symbolizing the middle world; and Uku Pacha, the lower world. This weaving brings about a balance of the Divine Feminine and Masculine energies. As we partake in this ceremony, our initiation into the Incan Tradition unfolds, marking the beginning of our journey.

June 24: Cusco - Inti Raymi
Inti Raymi, also known as the Inca Sun Festival, held immense significance in the religious practices of the Inca Empire, serving as a profound tribute to the Sun God, Inti-Sun. This sacred celebration traditionally took place during the winter solstice, marking the shortest day of the year in terms of the duration between sunrise and sunset.
During Inti Raymi, the Incas, their priests, and the entire community would come together to offer their reverence and devotion to the Sun God. This grand ceremony was a testament to their deep spiritual connection with the sun and the vital role it played in their lives.

However, following the Spanish conquest of the Inca Empire in 1532, the Catholic Church forbade the Inti Raymi ceremony, and the indigenous Andean society that had once celebrated this sun festival was fragmented. Instead, a celebration honoring the Catholic Saint San James was introduced. As a result, Inti Raymi gradually faded into obscurity.
It wasn't until the mid-20th century that a resurgence of interest in native Peruvian culture led to the revival of Inti Raymi. In 1944, a group of intellectuals and artists from Cusco, under the leadership of Cusco Historian Humberto Vidal Unda, embarked on a mission to recover the historical Inti Raymi and present it in the form of a theatrical performance. This revival aimed to reintroduce the tradition to the people of Cusco and beyond. Since then, the annual reenactment of Inti Raymi has continued to evolve, providing a rich and vibrant representation of how the ancient Inca civilization paid profound homage to their Father Sun.

SETTINGS FOR THE INTI RAYMI CEREMONY:

The celebration of the Inti Raymi on June 24th, in honor of the Sun God, is made in the three historic and natural sceneries:

1. The QORIKANCHA or the temple of the Sun of the Incas; here the celebration begins at 9:00am and last for 45 minutes. In order to watch this beautiful opening, we must get into the location as early as possible... we will be there around 7 am, to guarantee the great view of this one in a life time event.
2. The Plaza de Armas, HAUQAYPATA or the main square; in the time of the Incas this vast square was used for important ceremonies, which took place entirely in the great “ushnu” or ceremonial platform. The ceremony here begins at 11:00 and ends one hour later.

3. SAQSAYWAMAN - it’s located at 2 kms from the city of Cusco. The name is in the ancient language used by the Incas (Qechua) which translated into Spanish means (falcon).

June 25: Cusco - Sacred Valley of the Incas
In the early morning, we bid farewell to Cusco as we embark on a journey to the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, our home for the next few days.
En route to our next enchanting hotel, we will make a stop at the sacred site of Moray. Here, our esteemed Paqo will graciously guide us through our second Karpay, known as the Munay Karpay.
Munay, although loosely translated as "love" in English, transcends this simple definition. It represents a profound state of consciousness characterized by acceptance, deep appreciation, and an encompassing love for all of creation. It embodies a universal and unconditional love that extends to every aspect of existence.
Picture
Picture
Picture
Picture
Munay recognizes the beauty of diversity; it acknowledges that individuals may have different perspectives and follow unique life paths. Paradoxically, it celebrates the fact that, underneath these differences, we share a common essence as spiritual beings temporarily residing in physical bodies. This energy of Munay is closely associated with the Heart chakra, located at the center of the chest. Just like the Heart chakra, Munay acts as a bridge, connecting our lower, earthly selves with our higher, spiritual selves, serving as a unifying force that harmonizes our being.
The practice of Munay encourages us to focus on the positive aspects of life and release heavy energies like anger and resentment that can burden us. By embracing Munay, we learn the profound lesson that "We are One," emphasizing our interconnectedness with all of existence.
The Q’ero medicine is purposeful and intentional. The energy transmissions you receive from the medicine man are akin to powerful attunements. This process carries an incredible energetic intensity, and it's essential to approach it with absolute focus and clarity to maximize the results of each transmission. Following the Karpay, you will be recognized as an ambassador by the Q’ero people. You'll return home equipped with valuable tools to enhance your own life and to assist others on their unique awakening journeys.
Upon our return to the hotel, you'll have the freedom to indulge in the offerings of our retreat facilities. You can opt for a rejuvenating Andean SPA treatment or savor some solitary moments for meditation and connection with the majestic mountains enveloping our retreat center.
June 26: Ollantaytambo – Ayni
Following a restful night's sleep, perhaps filled with enchanting dreams and a profound connection to our Star family, we convene in our sacred circle to delve into the profound concept of Ayni.
Ayni serves as the cornerstone of Andean culture, representing the principle of reciprocity that underlies the way Andean communities interact with one another. Additionally, it frames their relationship with Nature, as they hold the belief that they are intricately connected to the natural world and not separate from it.
In an effort to unlock our hearts and facilitate the expansion of Munay and Ayni within our souls, we will partake in a communal dance known as the Forgiveness Dance.
Our next heart-centered experience awaits us as we venture to the ancient town and temple of Ollantaytambo. In the pre-Inca era, this site was recognized as a Lemurian Temple of Love, often referred to today as the Temple of the Sun. As we explore this ancient sanctuary, we will be enveloped by a profound energy that is intrinsically linked to six colossal pink stones, the transportation of which remains a mystery to this day.

Following our lunch, we journey to a neighboring village, where we have the privilege of meeting blessed children. Their joyful songs, dances, and radiant smiles will extend a warm welcome to us, graced with flowers and expressions of gratitude. Our visit is an opportunity to connect, share love, and offer our gifts as an embodiment of the profound Andean principle of Ayni – the law of reciprocity.

In the spirit of Ayni, where nothing is given without the promise of reciprocity, our acts of generosity are woven into the fabric of this ancient tradition. As we offer our talents, treasures, and time, we open ourselves to receive boundless blessings in return. Each year, our group brings something unique and heartfelt to the children and indigenous people of a remote village. On this day, you'll have the opportunity to touch someone's heart in ways you may never have imagined. Many travelers consider this experience to be the pinnacle of their journey.

June 27: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu
In the early morning, we embark on a train journey to Machu Picchu. As the train winds through the enchanting Urubamba Valley, time itself seems to pause, setting the stage for our arrival in the Sacred Crystal City, renowned as one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Upon our arrival in the charming village of Aguas Calientes, we check into our hotel. From there, we board the local bus for a scenic ride up the mountainside. In just 30 minutes, we find ourselves on the threshold of an extraordinary moment, one that many of us have cherished in our dreams for a long time, and now it has manifested into reality.
Machu Picchu was not only a remarkable city but also a university where wise women practiced their spiritual teachings every day. As we approach the entrance of Machu Picchu, we will respectfully request permission from the spiritual guides of this sacred place to allow us to step within its hallowed walls.

At the day's end, we descend by bus to the village, where you can savor a delightful dinner together. Let the enchantment of the day lull you into sweet dreams.

June 28: Machu Picchu Sunrise
As the sun ascends over the sacred mountains surrounding Machu Picchu, we will gather in ceremony, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Taita Inti (Father Sun). His healing rays will illuminate us and bless both us and this new day.

After the ceremony, our guide will lead us on a "city tour" where we will explore the Condor Temple, The House of the Chosen Woman, the Priestess Residential area, and the Temple of PachaMama.
In the afternoon, you are free to relax in the Aguas Calientes Hot Springs, explore the local market, or choose to stay in the city of Machu Picchu for some personal meditation time. We will reconvene at the end of the day for another delightful dinner. Sweet dreams await!

Today, we bid farewell to this sacred place as we prepare to journey back to Cusco, the heart of the Inca Empire, where we will conclude our transformative adventure.
June 29: Machu Picchu/Cusco

Early in the morning, we'll board the train that will take us through the stunning Sacred Valley. Upon arrival, our bus will be ready to transport us to the captivating town of Pisac. Here, we will embark on our journey to the ancient Falcon temple for our concluding Karpay ceremony.
When Llankay and Munay are harmoniously balanced and interconnected, they pave the way for us to embrace the third Inca law of Yachay. Yachay, often translated as "wisdom," signifies an inner knowing and a heightened state of consciousness regarding our true, authentic selves. Yachay guides us to understand that we are not merely our egos; we are far more profound.

Yachay empowers us to shed the identities associated with the various roles we play in life, which can often bind us and obscure our true essence. It helps us transcend these roles and, in doing so, allows us to experience inner peace and joy, irrespective of external challenges and turmoil. It leads us to a state of tranquility and presence, where meditation becomes a potent tool for connecting with Yachay. The energetic essence of Yachay is centered around the fifth, sixth, and seventh chakras, primarily the area between the eyebrows, known as the "Third Eye."

Yachay invites us to live in the present moment, acknowledging that "All is Well" despite the circumstances around us.
Following this profound initiation, we will conclude our visit by delving into the Traditional Indian Market, renowned for its remarkable array of handmade Peruvian tapestries and a myriad of other indigenous arts and crafts.

June 30:  Cusco
Cusco, often referred to as the "Navel of the Earth" by the Incas, is a city that still resonates with the warmth and memories of its ancient inhabitants.

The Inca civilization possessed a profound understanding of energy and the intricate interplay of vibrations for personal growth and transformation. Their temples were meticulously constructed at specific power points, aligning them with celestial bodies, emphasizing the principle "as above, so below."

Today, we embark on a journey to connect with the spiritual essence of the Navel of the Earth, where we seek alignment with the Cosmic Mother through the potent energies of the Incas' most sacred temples. These revered sites allow us to experience the timeless nature of each location, where the veils between dimensions dissolve effortlessly, supporting the expansion of our consciousness.
