Please plan to arrive at the hotel no later than 5pm today as all participants will be arriving in SMA. Our first circle, which will include introductions, logistics, and setting intentions, is scheduled for 6pm at the hotel courtyard.

Sunday, October 13: Releasing/Cleansing
This am we will stop by the house of a gifted Mystical, for a reading/cleansing. Before embarking on any sacred journey that opens our hearts and souls to transformation, it's crucial to release and cleanse anything that weighs us down and takes up precious space within us. This empties our vessel, allowing us to receive new visions, intentions, and the space for them to grow and manifest in reality. During our morning and afternoon sessions, we will have an opportunity to reflect on what is limiting us, identify which beliefs are ready to be released, and shed old patterns that no longer serve us.
Next we stop for a light lunch (included) and then we go to our San Miguel Retreat Home, Portal de Luz where the releasing/cleansing will continue. Guarded by Archangel Michael we will embark on a deep healing process of rebirth. We will complete this afternoon's process around 6 pm.
To enjoy the Magic of the Full Moon we invite you to have dinner in one of the most magical rooftops of San Miguel de Allende. (optional).

Tuesday, January 23: As Within So Without, As Above So Below - Cañada De La Virgen
Today, we will depart from the hotel at 9:00 am to our special visit to La Canada De La Virgen. Upon arrival at the tourist center, we will embark on a walking/hiking journey to the ancient temples' location. While the road we take is wide, as shown in the picture below, it is a consistent uphill climb that will require physical strength. Therefore, if you are not feeling your best, this activity may not be suitable for you. It is worth noting that San Miguel is at an elevation of 6,300 ft, while Canada is at 7,000 ft. To adjust to the elevation and follow our tour guide's instructions, we will make a few stops along the way.
Once we reach the temples complex at the top, it's relatively easy to walk around since the area is mostly flat (as shown in the pictures below). However, the steps to reach the top of the pyramid are not easy, so you may choose to stay below the pyramid and meditate instead. I invite you to consider bringing a walking stick if you think it will support you through this hiking experience.
Located on a plateau at an elevation of 7,000 ft, the Cañada de la Virgen complex is a breathtaking testament to the architects of the ancient pyramids. Surrounded by gorges and an ancient forest that once flourished in a cooler, wetter climate, the location provided the settlers with fertile black soil, building materials, and abundant flora and fauna.
The Relox Cosmico, or the Cosmic Clock, is the main pyramid/patio complex at Cañada de la Virgen, also known as the 'House of the Thirteen Heavens.' Evidence suggests that the complex was oriented towards the movement of the moon, and some speculate that this was a matriarchal society. Initially thought to be just another mound, the pyramid was first reported to the government in 1985 by a cowboy. The area was purchased by a German woman in 1999, and the pyramid was eventually opened to the public in 2011.
The Pyramid de la Virgen was a religious center where gods and ancestors were worshipped, and the movement of celestial bodies and their relationship to points on the earth were studied. The people had a rich pantheon of gods who they believed incarnated as their ruling class.

During our tour, our knowledgeable local guide will introduce us to Quetzalcoatl and Tezcatlipoca, two important deities in the Mesoamerican culture who collaborated in creation. They represented the duality of life, with Quetzalcoatl embodying the light and Tezcatlipoca representing the darkness. Their images were commonly painted on pottery and bark paper books known as codices. Understanding their complementary roles is crucial to comprehending this ancient culture.

Wednesday, January 24: Renewing/Restoring
Today is an early start, your driver will pick you up 7:30 am to take you a few miles away from San Miguel, to reach one of the most enchanting mineral baths in the area. This serene location offers an opportunity to immerse your self in the sacred mineral water, know by the Mayas as healing and restore waters.
Water is the element of receptivity and psychic abilities, it reflects qualities that bring gifts of empathy, healing, and clairvoyance. By connecting with this element, we can gain insight into our emotional and intuitive functioning.

I have had the honor and pleasure to have Vera as a guide on several trips. When traveling to Peru and to England, Vera immersed us in the experience on many levels. She works with people to provide both historical information and spiritual occurrences. These are not guided tours - they are transformative experiences. Vera holds space for each person in the group with no expectations, allowing healing and transformation for every individual. There are many “A-ha moments” felt deep in your being, at a soul level. Although in a group, each person has their own experience unique to them.
San Miguel de Allende provided a different experience for me. I trusted that Vera would magically combine her gifts with the loving skills of others to provide, again, something that changed my life. Working with Vera, Jim Hostler, and Ann Webb was incredible. Each of them brought something different to the week, and the result was a synergistic masterpiece. Areas of my life and different aspects of myself came together like a puzzle. I also know that the finished product, “me”, is ever-changing. I have new tools to trust and enhance this evolutionary process called life. I step in with an open heart. Exploring the earth and your inner self with Vera Lopez is an amazing experience. The Shamanic Mysteries of the Sacred Heart Retreat in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico was the third journey I have taken with Vera and Spirits of the Earth. We also journeyed to Machu Picchu and sacred places in Peru in 2019 and then to Stonehenge and other sacred places in southwest United Kingdom in 2022. All of these trips are amazing as Vera blends exploring yourself and sacred places with learning ancient traditions and growing spiritually. She is a master at creating the perfect mix into a trip of a lifetime by incorporating spiritual development, self-growth, and energetic healing along with experiencing magical places up close, exploring new cultures, fine dining, shopping, and wonderful accommodations. Vera’s own spirituality, love, and positive energy makes her a fabulous teacher and a wonderful person to explore the universe with.

I love traveling with Vera Lopez and fellow travelers, drawn to “Spirits of the Earth’s” adventures.
My life long desire to explore Machu Pichu, Peru, was fulfilled when I learned a girlfriend and her new friends on the West Coast had hired Vera Lopez and “Spirits of the Earth” to guide them there. I JUST HAD TO GO on the already full trip, even though I only knew my friend and we lived in different cities. . . . . I did! It changed what was possible for me and brought “magic” into my life. The sacred sites we visit are beautiful and located in the most incredible natural environments. I feel awe. (Sedona, Arizona red rocks; Glastonbury, England and Avalon; Canadian forest and lakes; Cusco, Peru and Machu Pichu). Myths and legends cloak these places of powerful energy and as I learn of them, my knowledge expands. ( Stone Henge, Egyptian Pyramids, Hopi Indian Reservation, Arizona; Ste. Marie de la Mer, France). We may participate in rituals and ceremonies which transport me and give me my own experience of the power of these sites. I connect to a higher vibration and state of consciousness. (Full moon ceremony on Solstice, Machu Pichu; Awakening the Heart, San Miguel de Allende, México). Whether in Peru, Brazil, Sedona, Arizona, England, France, Egypt, Spain, Canada, or Mexico, I learn and grow in the safe company of like-minded women. I make new friends, have a lot of fun and laughter, sight see, hike, and in between levitations (Gotcha! HaHa) enjoy shopping and of course fabulous food. What’s not to love? These soulful adventures are FUN and connect me both to ancient wisdom, which my life takes on as I go home and then shows up as greater kindness or compassion to myself and others. In 1993, I had the honor and privilege of meeting Vera Lopez, who led me and a group on a spiritual journey to Machu Picchu, which was one of the most unforgettable and fulfilling experiences of my life. However, my recent trip to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico in March 2023 for the "Shamanic Mysteries of the Sacred Heart Retreat" surpassed even that.
Vera's impressive bio speaks volumes of her professional expertise in leading spiritual tours across Europe, Africa/Egypt, and now Mexico. The itinerary for the retreat in October is well-organized with the best hotels, food, and transportation that Mexico has to offer. The daily assimilation with the locals was my favorite part of the trip, and I am sure it will be yours too. As a retired schoolteacher of 25 years and now 76 years old, I can attest that Vera and Jim are worthy of an A+++ ❤️🇲🇽. The trip to San Miguel Allende was informative, exciting, and most importantly, life-changing. In fact, it was so impactful for me that I have decided to move to San Miguel soon. The city is safe, clean, and awe-inspiring, with plenty of opportunities to explore the cobblestone streets and indulge in the local culture. Visiting the central area near the cathedral, listening to Mariachis sing and play instruments while people danced, and exploring local boutiques, specialty stores, and coffee shops were just a few of the highlights of my trip. Vera avoids the tourist traps, which I appreciated, and every day was full of astonishing surprises. I have plenty of beautiful videos and pictures to cherish forever.
